Lake Front Wall (Seawalls)
StrongWall has been building sea walls for 30 years and understands the criteria that make a strong and long lasting wall. The two most important criteria of good seawalls are Drainage and Base. Proper drainage will prevent any water from building up behind the wall. Water that is pooled behind a wall will freeze in the winter and put enormous outward pressure on the wall. This process repeated every winter will greatly reduce the lifespan of the wall. A solid base is essential for any seawall. The earth at the location will determine the depth of your base. The base should start on sheet rock, clay or XX ft deep in sand. This will prevent any currents from penetrating the wall from underneath the base and eroding the earth behind it.
